Cindy Pluciennik 2009 Scholarship Awards, 5/09

Last month Burgess and I were pleased to award two scholarships. The first was awarded to Ms. Esther Sainterling of Somerville (Massachusetts) High School to study nursing at the University of Massachusetts- Boston. We were pleased to meet Ms. Sainterling at the SHS Awards evening. She is a hard working person who will be the first person in her family to attend university.

The second Cindy Pluciennik Scholarship was awarded to Mr. Richard Lamirande of Sanford (Maine) High School. Mr. Lamirande will attending the University of Maine-Oreno, he is enrolled in the freshman undeclared major program. Both recipients were selected from a pre-screened group of applicants provided by their respective High School guidance departments. Scholarships were granted on the basis of financial need, acceptance to a State University as well as the students qualifications.
