Cindy’s Internment Ceremony, Friday 7/24/09
On Friday we held a Internment Ceremony for Cindy at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Minister Laura Ruth Jarrett presided over a brief ceremony followed by a light lunch.
Cindy’s parents (up from Florida), brother’s family, my family and several friends where in attendance.
Cindy’s ashes are now buried in the Spruce Knoll section of the cemetery, shown in this link:
http://www.mountauburn.org/cemetery_services/cremation.cfm
The Spruce Knoll section is reserved for cremated remains, buried (or returned to the earth) without a container. We buried Cindy’s ashes directly to the left of her name, inscribed on a shared gravestone (as seen in the link photo).
We hope you will find Mt. Auburn Cemetery a pleasant place to go for a walk as well as visit Cindy’s grave site.
