Step Sideways
Friends,
Yesterday, Saturday, we visited DF for a pre-chemo/baseline CT scan. Upon returning home (& climbing stairs) we were informed Cindy had developed blood clot (pulmonary embolus) in one of her lungs requiring a hospital visit. We waited in ER for several hours, new vital signs taken, receiving another CT scan. Cindy was admitted to hospital enabling her to received an intravenous blood thinner and evaluate her liver status (Cindy had yellowish hue).
Cindy has asked me to request folks not to send anything/flowers to hospital, we hope she will leave hospital tomorrow and keep Friday chemo infusion appointment. The benefits of a liver stint insertion are being discussed? We are awaiting our oncologist feedback prior to making any decisions. On the plus side Cindy’s yellowish hue is much improved and she has eaten well today!
Andy
