Cindy Status #7
Friends,
After three-four days in a holding pattern Cindy is feeling better.
Her pancreatic fluid drain output has slowed to a point where she is allowed to eat small amounts of low fiber food and drink. The pancreatic fluid output will be monitored to be sure the food induced-increased in pancreatic output does not back up again.
On the pain side Cindy now has a Dilaudid clicker has is self medicating. The clicker enabled her to minimize the pain medication required (that may effect digestive tract) and avoid pain spikes.
Our hope is her stomach will wake up – slowly but surely, while her pain dissipates.
Once Cindy can eat and does not need serious pain medication we can move her home, hopefully next week. We have oncologist appointments lined up for the end of the month.
Burgess is in day camp for 2 week and I spend a lot of time on my laptop in the hospital.
We are both are doing pretty well that to help for family and friends.
Thanks for all of the support and love.
Andy
