Cindy Status #4

Hi,
Cindy’s stomach is healing slowly. The Monday night-operation had the best possible outcome.
Today (Thursday) she is taking baby steps, 10-20 feet, 3 times a day.
She is still in a lot of pain aggravated by moving, and is heavily medicated.

Docs, PAs (physicians assistants) and nurses are waiting to get stomach gases flowing, then will introduce water and work up to food.
Once she can eat/drink – gain weight she can go home, probably 5 days from now – depending on progress.

We are still waiting for lab results from liver & colon tumor.
Then onto oncologist appointments 3-4 weeks away; Cindy will start long term Chemo treatments to kill cancer.

Her art work, 3 paintings hanging in the room is well received by the staff ; – )
They are all so nice, they would say anything even if the didn’t like them.

As the week winds down we feel confident about the direction of treatment and a positive long term outcome.
